I have been waiting a long time to ride this bike, over the winter the bike shop Le Yéti in Montreal has made me an offer that I could not refuse.

What is surprising is my move from FELT to WILIER, I sold Felt  to bike shop for 3 yrs, and only,  if I am totaly convinced of a product that I can sell it. I never thought I would  ever sell my FELT, at first I was going to keep it as a second bike but in reallity when do you really need a second bike of that quality. I prefer to have someone enjoy it.

Ok It is time to talk about that WILIER CENTO UNO"big Easy" that I call it,

There is something very special about that bike, at first you kind wonder what so special or different then any other 4 000$ plus bike, well let me try to describe that difference from bikes that I try and rode before in my life.

  1. the look and the detail that goes in this bike is brillant, I am not much of a mechanic but just by looking at the guy working on my bike, I could tell how much he was having a special moment and almost proud to be putting this bike together, it did take a long time because Sacha (mechanic guy) was so focus on every little details. And the paint job is awsome,  you can tell that this bike came directly from ITALY and not from a more commercialized factory .
The only down point is they (ITALIAN) forgot to put the 2 euro adapter  that allow the SRAM crank set to fit on the bike, yes I know ITALIAN and NO CAMPY, but SRAM has done a great job over the last two years and the reviews were so great that I felt like giving it a go, and it was a GREAT deal too ! And I am so please with SRAM. I will tell you more later...

The ride ; I rode it  for two days in a row,  it feellike it is light as feather but it glue to the groung almost like an gravity force is pulling it down, I would say just like a formula one but I never rode one.

At first I notice stability and smoothness to the ride but when it really came alive is when you start to put some gas...Wow that bike really surprised me of how much it wants to go and the more you give...the more it respond, I realize at that moment that I was in presence of an ITALIAN race car.  It was stunning of the faster I go, the quality of the ride (smoothness) kept increasing.

The frame react to all commands and it never complain, wether you are climbing or just hammering it like a Fabian wannabe, it respond, you can really feel the rear transmitting the power to the front and this equal in moving forward fast very fast.

The verdict ; if you think of buying one bike, one thing is for sure, that  technology is so far ahead that it will take a long time before it will be a thing of the past.

I really enjoy riding it and I feel that I have only discover about 10% of it real value. But so far the handling of the bike in descent, windy situation, ascent, steering, pedaling and the power that it give you surpass my expectations. And they were pretty high.

I can only say one thing is that is nickname BIGEASY suit him very well.

BIG because I feel like a pro on this bike and the feel of a bike is a big thing for me, I have try bike many bikes that look greats and were very expensive but did not feel great.

EASY because it such an easy ride,  I can't wait to be in top form to ride it like there is no tomorrow ; uphill, flat and with my riding bodies on Sundays ride, and of course I am looking forward to that sprint sign and hill top finish.

thanks for reading
